IT’S BEEN HERE ALL THE TIME

The moon strutting her stuff

IT’S BEEN HERE ALL THE TIME

I was wakened by a faint tap, tap and wondered what the noise could be. It was just daybreak and I jumped out of bed curious to see what I would see this morning. Rushing to my living room window I laughed in delight…there sat a wood pecker perched on the tree close to the house. The snow was falling on his head and he would shake it off impatiently as he continued about his business of chipping frozen bark.. ouch!

My eyes took me further to the edge of my landscape and I caught my breath. The snow tipped trees looked like apple blossoms tinged in apricot and the moon was still strutting her stuff.

The skies reminded me of a Caribbean sea, so blue they were and if it wasn’t for the minus forty one temperatures these past two days you would think I was in some tropical zone. Turning away to go make my coffee I thought to myself…

Isn’t life funny… what I’ve been looking for has been here all the time..
