All my life,
I have wondered.
Can I save this smile
And place it in a box.
A gift for sadness,
Darkness and grief.
A collection of them
In a day.
Garnered while watching
Butterflies, sunsets and
Couples in love.
Kind words multiplied,
Laced in golden threads.
Laid gently
As treasures
Upon his wounded soul.
A chest so filled
With love, amazement
And joy.
This would be
My gift to you.
