LISTENING TO THE QUIET
I was just thinking how eerie it is listening to the quiet when you are not used to it. No sirens breaking your sleep or skidding brakes, not even a barking dog. One would think that this heavy silence would allow you to sleep instead it’s turning out to be an adjustment. Are not human beings so complicated?
I love watching the snow gust around the farm yard light, dancing with seemingly white caped fluid partners. Interestingly enough my camera seems to pick up light coloured orbs and the falling snow flakes take on a shooting star scenario which makes me think of a dazzling, sparkling fireworks display.
I realized late last night the car was not plugged in and dashed out in my silk pj’s actually embracing the shot of cold. It reminded me of a memory of sitting in a hot tub and then all of us rolling in the snow.. it made me smile but did not allow me to pause for too very long in the minus 20 temps reminiscing.
I had forgotten how this white blanket muffles sound and covers everything with a clean, wonderful white slate. You can’t help but look around and think to yourself..
This is a fresh, new day and it’s going to be absolutely wonderful….
